Like Willy Wonka’s golden tickets, I can finally reveal that I am Charlie Bucket, the fourth and last member of the EasyJet 15 hour blogger challenge. if you’ve not heard of it, where have you been?
To celebrate EasyJet’s 15th Anniversary they’ve set 4 travel bloggers an awesome challenge.
I’ll be sent to an undisclosed city somewhere in Europe and have 15 hours to see as much of the chosen city as possible. Armed with just flights, a guide book, £100 and accommodation for the night, where I’ll go and what I’ll see are a complete mystery! It’s a very exciting project and something I’m really excited about. The entire event will be filmed and the 4 short movies will be on Youtube and EasyJet’s Facebook Group.
I was born for this kind of challenge. In fact most of my travels in recent years have all been challenges of a sort set by myself. Either to reach a destination on time, experience a country through a means of transport or quit the day job and set up on the other side of the world. I’ve never been one for a relaxing holiday so this is right up my street!
My challenge will take place on 25th October and I’ll be tweeting, four-square-ing, facebooking and blogging as I travel with EasyJet who will be covering the 4 challenges live. You can follow me on twitter at twitter.com/travelwithamate
I’m hoping my challenge will inspire others try a similar travel adventure for themselves. It couldn’t be easier. Get a last minute cheap flight to a country near you, grab a guide book and hit the streets! You’ll be amazed how much fun the unknown can be.
