Blog Power ranking

We believe blogging is the future! The voice of the individual has never had so much power and in this digital world we live in we’re always looking to find the voices we can trust.

Anybody can start a blog but who is good at it? There’s a whole bunch of ways to find out just how good a blogger and their blog really are. No one score gives you a definitive answer, until we invented Blog Power!

Blog Power is based on a number of key metrics that we collect every 24 hours on all of our contributors. Those metrics include:-

  • Twitter followersBest blogger rating system
  • Facebook fans
  • Klout score
  • MozRank
  • Alexa ranking

Note: Make sure your account profile contains all your details so that we can collect ALL the scores.

The scores from these services only tell part of the story of any blogger and all have their flaws. They can sometimes be manipulated and can occasionally be innacurate. All have their place but only Blog power gives you the full picture.

How does Blog Power work?

Each of the metrics we collect has a “real world” use. The numbers alone don’t tell you that much, it’s what they represent that matters. Blog Power takes in to account just how important each metric is, what numbers are useful information, what can realistically be achieved and the thresholds that distinguish  good scores from bad.

Staring at a bunch of numbers doesn’t help anyone, so we’ve put the human element in to our scoring. Blog Power is all about being able to trust in a blogger and their website.

Contribute with us to boost your Blog Power

We also take in to account your activity on Travel With a Mate. Collecting data on the articles you write with us, including how popular they are, helps us to understand just how active you are as a blogger and how much we can trust you. Trust deserves a reward so your score will be boosted the more you write and promote your articles.

How accurate are the scores?

We update scores for every contributor every 24 hours so you can be sure we’ve got the latest data. We’re also constantly monitoring the scores to make sure the accurately represent our contributors. We work with a number of agencies to compare metrics make sure that Blog Power truly represents just how much power a blogger has.
