Bank Holiday, BBQ and My Wedding Dress!

The weather could have been better but hey what’s a bank holiday without a BBQ on the beach in gale force winds. The rain stayed away and we must have been down there for about 4 hours or so, so can’t have been that bad.

I also appreciated the fact that it wasn’t planned until friday, something which is lacking in my life atm, social spontaneity! I love seeing family and friends and people have busy lives so you have to plan everything but once in a while a nice unplanned weekend is good for the soul :o)

However my Sister and I did plan one thing and that was wedding dress shopping and lo and behold on saturday afternoon I ordered my dress! Woohoo! Luckily it was as easy as I had hoped seeing as I knew exactly what I wanted. I had fun trying on different dresses but in true Oakey tradition the second dress I tried on was “The One” so sll others after that were just for the hell of it. Also in true Oakey style the first thing we did after leaving O-Zone (the wedding shop) was head to the pub for a quick celebration.

The best thing about my dress at the moment is that Matt is not aloud to know what it looks like. This is winding him up something cronic which only makes Renata and I wind him up some more! He know’s little things about it and altho i’m not the most traditional of people I am superstitious and there’s no way he’s going to see the dress before May 10th next year  hehe!

Take it easy
