I have kept my blog since packing up and leaving Melbourne, Australia at the beginning of 2005 for the life in London, UK, on a working holiday. Allowing me to let people at home know that I was still alive and to share my travels, I now look back on those posts and reminisce about all the trips and wonders that I have done. Since returning home to Melbourne, and now to my hometown of Ballarat in country Victoria, I have kept my blog, and managed to post about living in (and near) one of the best cities in the world, AND capture my ongoing travels. I also blog about seeing live music, seeing live sport (such as Aussie Rules football, cricket around the world, tennis...), and other everyday adventures and experiences. One of my first significant travel experiences was living in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, for 6 months as a volunteer, back in 2002-3. In 2008 I managed to travel to the Caribbean to see Australia play cricket on 3 of the islands, and squeeze in a trip to the amazing Cuba. I came home from that trip with DVT...scary. But, travel bug unbeaten, last year I completed one of the best trips ever, traveling the Trans-Siberian Railway from St Petersburg to Beijing. I live to travel, and have recently quit my job ready for a Summer-long trip to Canada, to complete part of my studies. Am really looking forward to experiencing all that this part of the world has to offer!
